Denso, Inc. Showcased Advanced Corrosion Prevention Solutions at WEFTEC 2025

Visitors to Booth 218 Explored Advanced Corrosion Prevention Solutions for Water Infrastructure Denso, Inc., a leading manufacturer of corrosion prevention product solutions, exhibited at WEFTEC 2025, from September 27 - October 1, 2025 in Chicago, Illinois. Attendees explored advanced technologies designed for water and wastewater infrastructure at booth 218, including Petrolatum Tape Systems, Viscotaq Visco‑Elastic Coatings, and the Archco 426 Epoxy, each formulated to address demanding installation conditions, diverse substrates, and rigorous performance standards common across municipal water environments.

Engineered for multi-application usability, Denso's Petrolatum Tape Systems streamlines maintenance planning for pipelines, fittings, tank bases, and steel structures. This all purpose petrolatum tape can be easily hand-applied, which speeds up installation due to minimal prep. The tape, with the use of mastic, easily conforms to irregular surface shapes to maintain a continuous seal barrier from corrosion. It is suitable for above ground and below ground applications to provide reliable corrosion protection. The Denso Petrolatum Tape can even be applied to wet surface areas, which can be typical of any treatment plants and collection systems.

Also, on display at Booth 218 was Viscotaq, the ultimate visco-elastic product that provides superior corrosion coating protection for spaces where traditional coatings can not be applied for both underground and aboveground assets. Viscotaq maintains a permanent and intimate contact with concrete, steel, PVC, metal, wood, vinyl, and existing coatings for gap-free coverage. Its permanent wetting behavior fills pores and surface anomalies, while its elasticity provides strength without loss of adhesion. Self-healing properties and impermeability to water and oxygen support long-term protection of buried and above-grade assets in moisture-rich water and wastewater environments, helping limit unplanned corrosion control maintenance.

The Archco 426 Epoxy is an ultra-high solids lining system engineered for potable water infrastructure where performance and compliance are critical. Archco 426 Epoxy has demonstrated outstanding results in immersion, adhesion, abrasion, and impact resistance, confirming its durability in aggressive service environments. With over 98% volume solids and low VOC/HAPS content, Archco 426 requires no primer or induction time, minimizing installation windows and reducing downtime. Certified to NSF/ANSI/CAN-61 & 372 and exceeding the requirements of AWWA C210, it provides utilities with a safe, reliable, and environmentally responsible corrosion protection solution for pipelines 36 inches in diameter and greater and water storage tanks of 10,000 gallons and above.

FLIR Si1-LD - Industrial Acoustic Imaging Camera for Compressed Air Leak Detection

FLIR Si1-LD - Industrial Acoustic Imaging Camera for Compressed Air Leak Detection

The FLIR Si1-LD is an easy-to-use acoustic imaging camera for locating and quantifying pressurized leaks in compressed air systems. This lightweight, one-handed camera is designed to help maintenance, manufacturing, and engineering professionals identify air leaks faster than with traditional methods. Built with a carefully constructed array of MEMS microphones for high sensitivity, the Si1-LD produces a precise acoustic image that visually displays ultrasonic information, even in loud, industrial environments. The acoustic image is overlaid in real time on a digital image, allowing you to accurately pinpoint the source of the sound, with onboard analytics which quantify the losses being incurred. The Si1-LD features a plugin that enables you to import acoustic images to FLIR Thermal Studio suite for offline editing, analysis, and advanced report creation. Field analysis and reporting can also be done using the FLIR Acoustic Camera Viewer cloud service. Transferring of images can be managed via memory stick or USB data cable. Through a regular maintenance routine, the FLIR Si1-LD can help facilities reduce their environmental impact and save money on utility bills.
