3DPRINTUK Expands Again – 25% Boost in MJF Capacity and JOSCAR Certification

This expansion allows 3DPRINTUK to take on even larger and more complex projects, while maintaining the precision and consistency that has made it a trusted partner for thousands of businesses worldwide.

London, UK - 27th October 2025 - 3DPRINTUK, the UK's leading additive manufacturing bureau, has announced a further investment of almost £1m in its production capabilities with the addition of two new HP 5210 Pro Systems, increasing its total machine count from 8 to 10. This marks a 25% increase in MJF capacity, reinforcing the company's position as the largest additive manufacturing bureau in the UK - on average five times larger than its competitors.

"We're now operating with a machine count that's five times bigger than the average UK bureau," said Nick Allen, CEO of 3DPRINTUK. "If we can't fulfil a high-volume order using additive manufacture, then no one can. This investment is about staying ahead of demand and continuing to deliver the speed, quality, and reliability our customers expect."

This expansion allows 3DPRINTUK to take on even larger and more complex projects, while maintaining the precision and consistency that has made it a trusted partner for thousands of businesses worldwide.

JOSCAR Certification - A New Milestone in Quality and Compliance
In addition to expanding its machine capacity, 3DPRINTUK is proud to announce that it is now officially JOSCAR certified. The Joint Supply Chain Accreditation Register (JOSCAR) is an industry-recognised accreditation system used by major organisations in aerospace, defence, and security to ensure suppliers meet rigorous standards for compliance, capability, and quality assurance.

Achieving JOSCAR certification means 3DPRINTUK has undergone a thorough evaluation process covering:
• Business and financial standing
• Health and safety
• Environmental management
• Ethical operations
• Supply chain security

"JOSCAR certification is a major step forward for us," added Allen. "It demonstrates our commitment to operating at the highest standards across every aspect of our business, and it opens doors to more mission-critical projects in regulated industries."

Why This Matters to Customers
This latest investment and certification are part of 3DPRINTUK's ongoing mission to deliver more value to its clients:
• Faster turnaround times for large-scale orders - unmatched in the UK
• Greater flexibility for larger contracts without compromising quality
• Increased reliability with more machines for scheduling high-volume orders
• Confidence in compliance - especially for aerospace, defence, and security sectors
• Expanded capacity makes AM viable for projects previously out of reach due to quantity requirements - while still delivering the benefits of AM for complex geometries and short lead times.

3DPRINTUK continues to champion Additive Manufacturing (AM) as a complement to traditional methods like injection moulding, CNC machining, and casting. Its mission is to push the boundaries of AM, making it a viable solution for end-use parts at scale.

FLIR Si1-LD - Industrial Acoustic Imaging Camera for Compressed Air Leak Detection

The FLIR Si1-LD is an easy-to-use acoustic imaging camera for locating and quantifying pressurized leaks in compressed air systems. This lightweight, one-handed camera is designed to help maintenance, manufacturing, and engineering professionals identify air leaks faster than with traditional methods. Built with a carefully constructed array of MEMS microphones for high sensitivity, the Si1-LD produces a precise acoustic image that visually displays ultrasonic information, even in loud, industrial environments. The acoustic image is overlaid in real time on a digital image, allowing you to accurately pinpoint the source of the sound, with onboard analytics which quantify the losses being incurred. The Si1-LD features a plugin that enables you to import acoustic images to FLIR Thermal Studio suite for offline editing, analysis, and advanced report creation. Field analysis and reporting can also be done using the FLIR Acoustic Camera Viewer cloud service. Transferring of images can be managed via memory stick or USB data cable. Through a regular maintenance routine, the FLIR Si1-LD can help facilities reduce their environmental impact and save money on utility bills.
