China's fast-rising imaging and sensor manufacturer, SinceVision is stepping directly into the global scientific-camera arena with the debut of its Solis Series, a new line of back-illuminated cooled sCMOS cameras aimed at ultra-low-light environments—from quantum optics labs to deep-sky astronomy setups.

Shenzhen, China - SinceVision, a leading developer of scientific imaging solutions, has launched its new Solis Series of back-illuminated cooled sCMOS cameras, designed to capture images in ultra-low-light environments. The cameras promise to enhance research in fields ranging from biological microscopy to quantum physics and astronomy.

The first model, the Solis B0465, targets advanced microscopy laboratories. It combines a 2048 × 2048 back-illuminated sensor with 6.5-micron pixels, delivering a peak quantum efficiency of 95 percent at 560 nanometers. The camera supports high-speed image capture at up to 100 frames per second and offers USB 3.1 and 10GigE data connections. A multi-stage cooling system, combined with a vacuum-sealed sensor chamber, allows researchers to conduct long-exposure imaging with minimal interference from heat-induced noise. The B0465 is particularly suited for delicate applications such as live-cell imaging, fluorescence studies, and super-resolution microscopy.

The second model, the Solis B518, is aimed at researchers exploring the faintest traces of light. Its 18-micron pixels collect roughly eight times more light than standard sensors, while the camera maintains an ultra-low readout noise of 0.45 electrons and a full-well capacity of 260,000 electrons. With a deep-cooling system reaching a 60°C differential and a vacuum-sealed chamber, the B518 delivers stable, long-exposure imaging without the signal distortion found in many high-end cameras. The model is intended for demanding applications such as quantum optics, single-photon detection, and high-precision astronomical observation.
